With the Thermacell Patio Shield Mosquito Repeller Torch, you can now spend more time outdoors without pesky mosquitoes and their bites. This torch will help illuminate any backyard, patio, or deck in style while keeping mosquitoes out of a 15-foot area. Four warm LEDs create great ambiance in any setting. The mosquito repellent feature and lantern light can operate together or independently for maximum versatility. To use, simply insert a repellent mat and a fuel cartridge, then turn it on. The fuel creates heat. A view window lets you check for an orange glow to ensure the heat is on. Heat activates the repellent in the mat. After 15 minutes, a mosquito protection zone is formed. The repellent mat turns white after about 4 hours indicating it’s time for the mat to be replaced. The pole height can be set at a maximum of 47 inches, or simply attach fewer pole pieces for a shorter height including landscape-style lighting.
