DEWALT 2-Foot Tall 1-Shelf Height Extender Kit for 6-Foot Industrial Storage Racks

This rack extension features the same innovative details as the original 6-foot rack including dense wire grid shelving, safety straps with weld nuts, locking shelf pins, grid clips, and glass-filled nylon top caps. Like the storage racks themselves, you won’t find any plastic parts on this extension kit, just dependable heavy-duty steel and rugged glass fiber reinforced nylon. The uprights, straps, hardware, and crossbeams all feature a durable powder-coated finish that won’t chip or fade like paint and, using the included stacking plates, the assembled unit adds an additional 2-feet of height and another shelf to the rack. The industrial grade metal wire grid deck secures to the crossbeams with metal clips and multiple support straps prevent warping and twisting allowing the shelf to easily support an evenly distributed 2,500-pounds of weight just like the existing storage rack shelves and it adjusts in the same 3-inch increments. If desired, the extension can also function as a short, 2-foot tall single shelf storage rack using the included glass-filled nylon feet to protect flooring from damage by the uprights.
