Simply mow the plot low to the ground and remove any heavy grass residue to ensure the seed contacts the soil. The mixture of ryegrass, arrowleaf and crimson clovers and forage rape does well in almost all soil types and serves as a valuable food source for deer all season long. The ryegrass establishes quickly and is rich in vital nutrients and minerals, while the clover mixture is a high protein source throughout the fall, winter, and spring.
